Stars
poke through the ebony folds of night
stitched into its soft fabric
Tangible
they sit curled on the tips of my eyelashes
like tears yet to fall
Distant
I scoop armfuls of them with my eyes
until they become entangled with my dreams
my slumber saturated
with the gentle curve of the moon
and the shimmer
of falling stars
