Just For Reading
I share my words with you today
'Cuz otherwise I have no say

 You might scoff and remark
 She has no talent

 That's simply okay
My words are meant only to express me

At the end of every day
I sit down with pencil and paper

 I write of my problems
 And my worries

 My pencil and paper
 They make no judgements

 You, reader, can make judgements
I can only hope they're kind

I do not know you though
 So read on

Throughout the day I am silent
No one listens if I talk

 My feelings and emotions
 Travel through my brain

 And now you read them
 You decide if they're good

So I give you my thanks
 Just for reading

 Because now
 Someone else knows.
