The Mask I Wear
Mask
 I wear one,
 But not in
 a play
 but walking down
 Hallways,
 Sitting at my desk
 perhaps, even while
 having a laugh
 Never showing my true
 Face

 This facade,
 What good is it?
 Am I really
 that scared of
 who I truly, am?
 Is my true self
 really this much
 a, secret? And if
 this secret were
 revealed, could I
 Face it?

 Although,
 I have been know
 to raise my mask
 now and again,
 Only to lower it
 a few moments
 Later
 Trying to stop
 the truth from
 slipping out
