I hold you in my arms
As you take your dying breath
Spattered in blood
Worried you turn
Not able to speak
I show you a smile out of fear
Your heart rate slows
And blood stops to flow
Not able to cry
"It's ok." I reply
Closing your eyes
You see through my lie
And leaning in closer
You kiss me
