Just a simple reflection.
Just a constant reminder
Of the mistakes that were made.
Just a beaten face,
Scared, bruised, scratched,
Reminisce the mistakes that were made.
Just infected lungs,
Coughing, choking, gagging,
Cry out in despair.
Just simple tears
Cascading down your cheeks
At the damage that you caused.
Just a distant memory
Filled with regret
And the choice to accept rather than reject.
Just a simple pain,
Groaning, gnawing, craving,
As you reach for another.
