HIV Positive
Sweet, Sweet child.
 So small, so strong.
 You laugh and play
 like nothing's wrong,
but there's a monster inside you.
 It comes and goes,
 kind of like the wind,
 when it blows.
 Maybe today,
 they'll find a cure,
 to help your mommy,
 to make here sure
she'll be there to see you
 on your wedding day,
 to laugh and sing,
 and give you away.
 Maybe someday,
 she'll get that chance,
 tears in her eyes,
 she'll watch you dance,
 but until then,
 know i'm here,
 wishing a praying
 to take away the fear,
 and now i realize
 the monster in me
 is nothing compared to
 what you see,
 everyday of your life,
 living and breathing
 this constant fight.
