Daddy's Home
Sing me the song of winter
 Daddy, I’ll sing you home.
 Make stars out of water
Daddy, like the magic of winter.

Life to us was but a mist,
And still you told me of a list
Of how fairytales ceased to exist,
 How enchantment brought diseases.

I know right here through this prison,
 Comes every different reason
Of why flowers leaned against the ground
Of why mornings shut the suns
And why winters were but duns.

A wish none other than the dream itself,
A friend none other than Death himself.

 Worry not, daddy, I understand
I shall not lead myself as the Fool.
But you know daddy, how grand
Their dreams are, like we secretly
Wish for long ago, every now and then:
Green meadows still inside our lungs,
Fields of vivid blossoms in our souls.

Worry not, daddy, I’ll sing you home,
I’ll be your eyes and I’ll be your bone.
So sing me the song of winter
Daddy, make stars out of water.

Worry not, daddy, I’ll chase the moon,
Find a way for which we could cry.
We’ll walk to the sea athwart the sky,
Altogether believe that we could fly—
There, daddy, see the railroads in the sky.

So sing me the song of winter
 Daddy, please come home.
We’ll make stars out of water
Daddy, like the magic of winter.
