Some people retreat to islands,
Some to mountains,
Some to beaches
But not I
I retreat to books
Books are where I live
Two a week at the least
They make me calm
They make me sing
I don’t know why
People spend money
On those trips
When all they need are good book
Those books that take you away
To faraway places
With far away adventures
Never boring
Always a new book to read
So why go to that island
Or that mountain
Or that beach
They may be nice
But pick up a book
And do the same
With no money needed
