The rain cascades down
From the ebony storm clouds
As I weep for you,

Your lost innocence:
Gone like dandelion fluff

In the winds of change.

This darkness won’t pass-
I won’t see light again, for
You- my sun- have gone.

As we grow, so many things change. People we know become people we knew, everyone changes, and, more than anything, we see a great loss of innocence.
