The sky decides
It would like to rain
And earth
Becomes mud
And from the mud
Comes life
The life
That needs the mud
And the life
That needs the life
While the sky
Turns away

Or perhaps
There was a little
Just a little
More rain
And the mud
Burdened by the water
Slides down
Into the life
That needs the mud
And the life
That needs the life
And kills them
While the sky
Turns away

This poem is a metaphor. I'm hoping that this simple narration of events will inspire emotions in the reader that aren't necesarily portrayed in the poem. It's an experiment.
