Hey Mom
Hey mom,
Do you think that it goes down hill
 After high school
 I’m getting conflicting messages
 Because they tell me,
 Student Government,
That these are the best times of my life
 But they tell me,
 Adults,
 That it only gets better
When you’re out there in the real world
But there’s a lot of things that they all say
 For instance
I am to refrain from chewing tobacco and late nights
And racism and paraphernalia in any form
 But anyways,
 I read a thing once
 That said
“One night, Mr. Howie scared us half to death on purpose, screaming like a wildcat near our camp. A real one screamed back.”
