Jesus Loves You

Are the Waters lovely
By the shores of Avalon?
Where reflections are cast
From the ever-changing dawn.

Where ancient kings
Traversed the bay,
In human greed to
Travel the forbidden way.

Are the waters so lovely now?
When deceiving siren songs
Fill the deep with shipwrecks
With the heart of men among.

Where the dark wetness
Hides the bodies of the brave,
They lie in swollen destitute
Downing in their graves.

Are the waters so lovely now
When the blood washed ashore?
Can you hear the battle call?
The depths cry out for more

Where the eye is set
On a false sight,
A reflection of the dark
Shrouded by the light.

Are the waters so lovely now
When the pure is beguiled?
Drink deeply of the toxin
Through the lips that defile.

Where dragon wings
Hoard their waste,
The very gold that plunders
The moral of the chaste.

Are the waters so lovely now
Where every drop is sorrow?
Where the hope of men
Has never a tomorrow.

Where shadows drift along
Dragging down the unaware,
Down beneath the surface
Into its watery lair.

Are the waters so lovely now
When they reap of what you sow?
Be careful little children
Of an undefeated foe.

Where confusion reeks of pleasure
Leading men to their downfall,
To share the secrets of the lost,
Are they lovely after all?

Tell me, what do you decree?
Dear one, please reveal,
Are the waters lovely
By the shores of Avalon?

I love this.  The heavy description creates imagery that one can just about feel and taste and live in.  This is awesome.  While the waters may not be lovely, this poem surely is.
