Divorced
“Sorry baby,
 I have to leave.
 Here’s my business card,
 you can call me whenever!”

 Why?
 What was the cause?
 “I love you too! Bye!”
I said as my first tear
 hit the floor.

 Not the last tear.
 There was more.
 Daddy, I love you.
 You meant more than words
 can say.

I never wanted you to leave.
I never wanted you to walk
 away.

As he walked out that door,
all I could see is his back turned
 to me.
 It made me fall in
 PIECES!
