I've never let school interfere with my education. -Mark Twain

Here is my confession:
I have been careless, yes,
And I have made you think,
You have been thinking the forbidden
I have sung a tune new to your ears
Or old, be it as it may,
And so you pondered and said,
“Why do I not pick up this tune, too?”
Except – you cannot sing what I sing
Not that I sing well, no,
But I sing my own verse
My own air
And if you sing my song
I will change my song
And you will be one note,
One song behind.
I say, though, this is default mode,
Arguing for harmony will not bode you well
Because I dislike triple
Or quadruple harmony
I am a double type of person,
If any.
