You've been there for me
but I got to let you know I am growing up.
You've been there from the start and now you're giving me away.
Oh, Daddy please don't cry!
I will still be there when you call
You are mine and nothing will change that.
You've been there from tiny to cuts to losses in the family.
Daddy, I love you!
No matter how I got you were there always loving me.
You've been there my whole life.
You just didn't believe there could be this much grief.
There was love and break ups
but you knew that was a part of life.
You knew it was going to be hard
but you stuck through with it
and I thank you for that.
