Rushing Peace
Turning the corner, she flies
Adrenaline piercing her heels
She rushes past rocks
She rushes past trees
Around the bend, she skids on her heels
For a moment,
Just a moment,
She catches her balance.
Holding her breath,
She throws herself off
The cliff
A roar rips through her lungs
Through her ears-
Through her heart-
And she confidently casts out
A mighty wave of color
Until she crashes at the bottom.
She opens her eyes
She sighs peacefully, content
Love searing her heart as
The woods whisk by her head.
She splashes serenely
Sunlight sparkling on her eyes
That mirror the deep blue
Of the sky
Gasping for breath
The road becomes rougher,
Rocks rolls beneath her
She swoops along corners and bends,
Adrenaline here to visit again.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.”
