breath
(inhale.)
 the short speedy breaths
 tangling in each other
 the ear splitting silence
broken only by the sound of stolen kisses
and the cold is changing into
fire scorching and devouring and burning
but the look in your eyes does
 the opposite of incinerate
 it caresses softly
 like the dark
 folding smoothly around us
 and finding beauty in imperfection
 and so we dance
with the pale moon looking over us
moving and breathing in perfect synchronicity
 until, exhausted
 we collapse into each other.
 (exhale.)
