And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in the bud, was more painful than the risk it took to bloom.

With the rose comes the thorn
With the day comes the night
With the sun comes the rain
For the win, you must fight.

But where is my rose?
All I have is a thorn
Where is my light?
I am stuck without dawn
And where is my sun?
Will it ever come?
I have waited too long,
To be rid of this storm.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece for a poetry anthology that we did for an English project. I got the idea for the first line from listening to one of my old favourite albums, Anastacia. The song was Who's gonna stop the rain. After getting the first line, the poem flowed out kind of on its own accord, like I wasn't even writing it!

Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon.
Love Always. :)
When the tides of life turn against you and the current upsets your boat, don't waste time and tears on what might have been, just lie on your back and float.

Wow, this is so good! I loved it! There's not a single thing that I would change! I really love the line: "For the win you must fight." Great work, you have talent!
