Two dimensional.
That’s what people are.
One way
Or the other.
Opposites
To opposites.
So it’s with words that I console myself
And people--
Not real--
Who exist in more than one plane,
Who are not one way,
Nor the other,
As people are in reality.
But who are you
Who are not affected
By this soiled understanding?
Who are you
Who opposes the opposite
While denying the original?
Who has shattered the two dimensional world
And broken my people?
And how?
And even so…
You do not belong in this world,
Ye who knows no opposites.
You are much too grounded for reality.
So, were I He who created you,
I would have rather put you in a story--
And maybe that’s all this is--
Where people are allowed to be
More real.
