Fear
The taste
of coppery blood
fills my mouth.
Heavy mist
weighs me down
as I'm trying to run
and I find I can't.
Dark space,
empty space,
fills the void
around me.
Sweat fills the air
as I run faster,
harder.
moisture fills my lungs.
silence engulfs me.
The faint ringing in my ear
surrounds me
and it screams,
"I'm coming after you!"
