Dodging Your Bullets Like I’m in the Matrix
Sheltered as a child my parents thought they were protecting me
But all it really did was set me up to be emotional you see
I got bullied as a kid got dirt kicked in my face
Got pushed down on the playground just because I was a different race
They told me stay down or they would keep me there
But each time I got back up I took their threats as a dare
A challenge if you may that they could not be beat
So I stood my ground every time on my own two feet
