THE DOLPHINS
WHIPPING THEIR PETAL-SHAPED TAILS ACROSS THE OCEAN
LEAPING INTO THE AIR
CATCHING ONE GLIMPSE OF FREEDOM

THE STORKS
SOARING UNDER VINES FLAPPING THEIR WINGS
GLIDING ACROSS TREETOPS
CARRYING NEWBORNS TO THEIR PARENTS

THE WATERFALLS
ROARING DOWN ON THE OCEAN
THOUSANDS OF FEET HIGH
HIDING SECRET CAVES AND TREASURES
MAN CAN ONLY DREAM OF

THE FLOWERS
GROWING NEXT TO THE FALLS
BLOOMING SCARLET, MAGENTA, PLUM, AQUAMARINE, TEAL, AND EMERALD
NO TWO THE SAME SHAPE, SIZE, OR COLOR SHADE

THE PALM TREES
SWAYING LIKE A DANDELION IN THE COOL SUMMER BREEZE
LEAVES SPROUTING IN ALL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS
GROWING COCONUTS TO PROVIDE MILK FOR ALL THE NATIVE ANIMALS

SEE THAT IMAGE IN YOUR MIND?
THAT IS PARADISE
NOT AN ENCHANTED POOL OF WATER
OR A FRESH MANGO SMOOTHIE
BUT LIFE ITSELF

THIS POEM IS ACTUALLY BASED ON A POSTER MY SISTER HAS ON THE DOOR TO HER ROOM.
