Staring into your hazel eyes
A tender feeling and brightening skies
Of moments when I held you close
And dreams of how I love you most.
I long for times when you were there
Holding hands in twilight air
A forlorn kiss and brief embrace,
The hasty goodbyes we had to make.
I’ll miss you more with every day
That slowly fades and slips away.
Until the day when again we stand
Arm in arm and hand in hand
