No One Likes Spiders
Here you are,
 Caught in this invisible web,
Carefully strung by the creature crawling towards you,
 Drawing you in with his
 Irresistible smile,
All eyes and attention solely fixated on you.
 You’re the one he wants.
He slowly lures you into his trap,
 Grasping you from all angles
Yet you are too oblivious to notice.
 It begins to consume you
And you find all that’s on your mind
 Is the creature encircling you.
 Maybe he’s not that bad.
As you slowly begin to fall for him,
 You let your walls down
Even though that once engaging smile looks almost
 Deceiving.
Ignoring the signs and brushing off the little things,
 You’re in love
 And still hanging onto his
 Every
 Last
 Word.
But the master of all tricks
 Who once left you mesmerized
Is the best at his little game.
And as all his delicate strings of lies unravel,
 The one you least expected
Amounts to be the one to hurt you the most.
