Today
Is the day
Everything changes
In my life
I don’t want
Life to be what it has been
The last few months
More like years
But from thoses
Many hard years
Today I take will me
Many things
We paint our own pictures
And
We won’t know what it is until
Were gone
The hard things are
The stronger, fast,
Better, braver,
We come out
Life’s like a song
The people around us
Make the beat
You make your own lyrics
yesterday
Was the day
Everything changed

Lovely poem. Loved it, absolutely. Definitely applicable to our lives as teens. About to face the world. About to make ourselves into who we are. About to confront our identities and live them. I loved the part about life's a song. Your take on it was something I have never heard before, and I liked it. Great writing. 5/5.
