I Think We're Alone Now
You play the role of
 uncaring jerk
and I am cast as the
 helpless girl.

 As the
 show goes on
 we forget
 our lines

 and that
 we are not meant
 to fall in love.

 Or that's how
 the story is
 suppose to go.

 But you just
 stare at me as
 though I'm the
 scum on
 your shoe;

 and I keep
 dreaming of
 the day that
 you realize
 I was made for you.
