Courage, If Only I Had Spoken
Dark hair falling acrossed-
eyes the color of a glacier,
 bright, icy blue.
 His smile-intoxicating
 He's everything she's ever wanted
 but confliction and the past,
 prevent it from blossoming

 When he walks by-
she shields her eyes behind a mass of messy black hair
 she's so sure he notices
 can't help it
 the feelings still linger
 make her heart stop beating

Every where she seems to see him
 the store, in class-
 not even lunch is sacred.
She knows now that he isn't worth it
but how can she desert this?
 It's like true love
 but only broken.
 She wants to make amends
have a chance at maybe being friends-
 and then he approaches

 she's bent over a book
pretending not to sense his gaze
he stops only a few feet away
 the air around them trembles
 neither knows what to say-
 followed by only silence
 and then he walks away.
 If only she had spoken.
