I wish someone had told me
I wish someone had told
 Of this thing called life
I wish they had instilled some wisdom into me
I wish someone had taken the time to care

Why didn’t you tell me of the pain?
Why didn’t you tell me of the sorrow?
Didn’t you think I needed to know?
Or were you to involved in yourself to see?

Why didn’t you worn me of the heartache?
Why didn’t you worn me of the hurt?
Why didn’t you worn me of the misery
And all the scars I would bear?

Why didn’t you look me in the eyes and wonder
They might need to know that
Why didn’t you worn me of all the poverty and distress
Why didn’t you tell of the heartache and headaches?

 Someone tell me
 Why didn’t you worn me?
 Didn’t you see me?
Or were you to high to care?
