"You'll learn from them - if you want to. Just as someday, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful, reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry." ~As said by Mr. Antolini, Catcher in the Rye, JD Salinger

Flecks of colour pepper the land
Specks of vibrancy, painted with the watercolours of existence
Melt into luscious meadows and liquid hills
Against a carpet of elegant emerald blades

Trickling on, a fluid snake of glass
Caresses the banks on which contentment lies
Stretching indefinitely underneath an expansive sky of velvet
Bejeweled by flies with wings of flame

Caught between Earth and Sky
A regal, lonesome oak towers above
Eternities have passed beneath its boughs
Though time has remained a mere memory in its shadow

Yet, this place, it is not fake
No hidden magic conceals its face
But it is a world only dreamers dare
Hate and ignorance are not welcome here

Rework of my other poem "Elysium." As I like to show my progress, and not hide it, I'd rather submit a new one instead of editing the old.
