Not a Clock
You are the first thing I see at the start of my day,
And the last thing I see when it ends.
Although you do kind of tick-tock,
 You are not a clock.
You live and breathe, you love and laugh.
I see you in the morning
So I am not afraid to face the perils of their reality.
I see you when the night comes
So I am not afraid to face the perils of my dreams.
As long as I have you, I can start and end my day.
As long as I have you, I can find my way.
You are the first thing I see at the start of my day,
And the last thing I see when it ends,
 So I am not afraid.
