Lithe and fast
As the wolf runs
Guarding his domain
From all who oppose him.
Strong and proud
As the eagle soars
Scouting the plains
For sources of life.
Stealthy and silent
As the snake crawls
Winding ‘round the rocks
Biding his time.
Cunning and wily
As the fox trails
Slinking along logs
Ready to pounce.
Quick and deadly
As the lynx hunts
Creeping in the trees
Leaving tracks that never show.
As the animals
We live.
As the animals
We hunt.
As the animals
We protect.
As the animals
We are.
