The Unforgettable game

He's haunting my dreams,
yet again.
His twisted ways,
left a permanent stain.
His manipulation,
left a painful scar.
There's no erasing him from my life.
Even once he's already gone.
I'm seeing him, once again
In those terrifying flashbacks,
when the truth shines through, at last.
Something he was incapable of speaking.
how much he hates me,
how I'm just the same,
how I'm giving in to what he wants,
how I'm just like all the innocent others
who have played the unforgettable game.
I can't let him know
He won.
