Nightmare

That’s how it goes, we go around and around
We get to the top, and fall back down
That’s just how it was meant to be
Never being set completely free
Some days, I actually felt pretty
I’m falling back into unwanted self-pity
I’m back at the bottom, and I’m here to stay
Every night, I kneel and pray
I guess my confidence was never meant to last
This nightmare just keeps coming back
