Flipped, for one day.
So maybe there is more than meets the eye.
Maybe we should meet in the proper light.
Up in my Sycamore tree, in my favorite spot,
Hours spent to watch the most beautiful view,
The Sun rising and setting,
There will come a day,
Where maybe we could,
(After years and years that we didn’t,
From when we first met
As neighbors;
You moving into that house right across the street,)
Just talk.
Not a casual “Hello, what’s going on”
Or an informal “Gotta do this project for tomorrow”,
But a “There is something wrong with my family, my life, myself and us.”
Something that I can respond with “I’m here, it’s okay”.
Until then, there is more than meets the eye,
Maybe we should meet in the proper light.
