Life is a rollercoaster.

The ride starts
Anticipation gathers
Biting your nails
Up, up, up
Finally to the top
The pit of your stomach
Climbs to your throat
Then falls through your toes:
Screaming in exultation,
You drop
Down, down, down,
On and on it crazily goes,
Up, down, up, down,
Loop-de-loop
Until finally it rolls to a stop.
And with regret,
You get off.

Life is a rollercoaster...
Enjoy the ride.

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem because most people (including myself) can get easily caught up in the stress of everything around them. It is important to make the most of the situation you are in, because fact is, you never know when you won't have a situation to be in anymore.
