Shades of ME
Sometimes I'm lighthearted lime
 cheery and chipper,
 cheerful and bright
like a million lights on a football field.

 Other times I'm graveyard gray
 gloomy and glum,
 rueful and melancholy
 like rain after bloodshed,
 weeping for the dead.

Still at times I'm heart-pounding red
 fearful and dreadful,
 ghastly and scared
 like a trembling train track,
waiting for the beast to come again

 But under all these colors
 I am only ME
