Sculpting Apathy
Hold me together with scotch-tape
And thread hairs into my scalp,

For I do not feel like putting myself together.

Paint my face a china doll’s grin
And flood my cracking skin with gorilla glue,

 For I am a vampire’s lover
 and parched of blood.

 Please –
Won’t you form an image for me?
Hold up the mirror so I can see
That which I’ve never tried to obtain.

For I am a dusty carcass
 Who just wishes to sleep.
