The waves wash over the sandy shore
A cool wind whips through the crisp air
A broken-down bench at the base of a cliff
Through the clouds come calming rays
Warming all of the little world
Sitting silently, admiring the scenery
In this crazy, confusing world
I prefer these moments of perfect peace
When the troubling times take a pause
And the scary sounds simply cease
Everything quiet and carefree
And I am all alone
Grateful for my lovely life
