If only I had been more sensible
He lay flat, limbs aligned his torso
If only I had tried harder to care
His scales would've brighted like sunshine
If only I hadn't gone for a companion
He would've been with a better owner
If only I hadn't found that frog He would've had a better morning If only there were second chances
I wouldn't be righting this poem
