sit on a roadside while cars drive the hearts inhuman
give me a ride?
i’ve picked up a token worth more than your dollar
but it’s slipped through
your hole in my pocket.
i lift my cardboard sign “Tulsa” in
two quaking hands
to your windows &amp; you hurry on.
