Old farm house high upon the hill
Slowly rotting away in the summer heat
You’ve seen better days
The place where children once blossomed and played
The living room that once held Christmas trees and birthday- parties
The bedroom where cribs and toys once lay
Now all rotted away
If these walls could talk what would they say
From the tree a swing once sway, now gone
Just memories remain
Where photos of family once hung, now empty walls of pain

In a warm breeze i can still here a child’s lost laughter in this empty yard, once dominated by barefoot play
The place where family blossomed and fell apart
The dirt drive way now undetectable from the road
Children’s toys lay mossed over from time
To a stranger on their way, it’s hard to believe anyone has ever lived here at all
