the dark veil

cut the last ties with consciousness...
and slide into the realm of a drifting mind...
where horrors come to life and love is realized...
where fantasies materialize..and reality is bent...
and where ones last days are spent...
the cloaked figure sweeps in to steal his eternal visitors from this place...
here i am lying, staring, stoically faced...
still conscious...
waiting...
exhaustion takes me...yet nothing occurs...
reality blurs and time slurs...
a black veil hangs over me as the sun begins to rise in front of my eyes...
a fire in the sky... as i go insane
