maybe if you had never known,

if the truth had never escaped my lips,

maybe if you had never known,

if tongues wouldn’t talk,

and stories remained untold,

maybe if you had never known,

awkwardness wouldn’t define us,

and silent stares wouldn’t defy us,

maybe if you had never known,

i’d still be able to wear my heart out on my sleeve.

Sometimes, I wish people didn't find out things, especially when it's stuff you'd rather they not know. It can ruin everything.
