Let It Die

I never meant to let it die,
I just don’t care about you anymore.
I never meant to say goodbye,
But I just couldn’t take it anymore.
“When did it fade” you ask.
Does it even really matter now?
“Can it be saved?” you beg.
But baby I let it die somehow.
It’s not fair when you say that I didn’t try,
I really never meant to let it die.
But if you’re really gonna leave,
I guess this is our last goodbye...
