Step on the stage
Heart pounding
Bright lights blaring in your eyes
A crowd, covered in shadows,
watches, waiting
Waiting
waiting for you
Wondering what you’ll do
Will you be perfect
or will you fall?
Will you soar
and fly to the highest heavens
or will you crash
without the wind beneath you?
Nervous
Take a deep breath
and step into the light
Nothing to stop you
Nothing to hide behind
Nothing but you
You and the stage
You and the crowd
You and the music
You
It’s all you.
