The Months Of Hades
Once again he steals away Persephone
 And thus Demeter will flee
 Leaving all to freeze
 In this wretched winter breeze

In these times of dark dreadful death
On this land ice and snow beath
Forcing away all things warm and bright
 Trapping us in eternal night

 In these times of catastrophe
The lord of darkness is most happy
For beside him sits his queen
To all eyes but his unseen

Tis in this time of eternal sleep
The world does dream so deep
That longer Persephone he does keep
With all our lives the easier to reap

But all things end, both big and small
And winter’s grip will surely fall
The queen shall leave the king
 To bring about glorious spring
