Five Seconds
Five seconds
 The sour milk breath
 Plus adrenaline rush
 Knuckles bent
 Fist formed
 Revolution
 And those words
 Those five words
 Of such intense
 And contagious
 Dedication
 With a hollowed voice
 Pleading eyes
She screams, I will die for Egypt!

 And then explosion like pop!
 Blood rushing
 Burnt faces
 Infants howling
 Kicking
 So sickening is the death
 Of a hundred devoted souls

 Five seconds
 Breathe in
 Breathe out
 Five seconds

 And the old man
Past out on mahogany rocking chair
 Heart beat
 Slow beat
 That dream was dreamt
 The deep thought
 That ever so lightly
 Slightly creased his brow
 Drip of sweat
 Runs down pierced earlobe
 And the pressure of concentration
 Is released

 Five Seconds
 Tick
 Tock
 Tick
 Tock
 Tick
