Fire of Need
Our friendship was forged
 Over the fires of need
 Without the heat of need
 We would always
 Have remained alone

 Your words
 Your attention
 Your caring
 Your love
 Show me
 My worth
 That you would gladly
 Grab my hand
 And fight the world
 Alone with me
 Means everything to me

 My sympathy
 Calms you
 My laughter
 Brightens your day
 That I would do anything
 For you
 Am willing
 To ride out storms
 As well as sunny days
 Soothes you

 We needed each other
 Because of our language
 How we convey
 everything
 Even the brightest
 Couldn't decipher it
 Flawlessly

 It took each other
 To crack our shells
 To tear down walls
 To see our souls

 Each of us
 Can see the other's soul
 Perfectly
 We are connected
 On a level so deep
 That no one else
 Will ever discover it

 Forevermore
 We'll fight together
 The sole inhabitants
 Of our own world
 Against everything
 The judgers
 The stereotypers
 Because our fire
 Burns bright with need
