A Million Mile road leading nowhere
I stare out my window, seeing nothing but fields
Peaceful, empty space, were we are
A lonely willow tree weeps, for she is too sad to straighten her branches
A traveling river lays quiet, while the brook continues to babble
The sky turns pale and gray, a sad sight for such a glorious day
Branches of haunted trees bend and twist, leaning on each other for support
A million mile road leaning nowhere, but home.

The author's comments:
We were on our way to dinner, and it was a long drive, and as we were driving, all this beautiful land was passing by. I wanted a way to remember what it looked like, so i wrote this. originally the end wasn't "home" it was 'dinner' but home seemed like a better fit.
