In the castle lived a princess
She loved a boy and he loved her back

But it's different here in reality
I've got no prince and I'm not a princess
And I've yet to get my first kiss
Once upon a time is only for fairy tales
Not for people living in this world
I've got a life and I need to live now
Working, growing, learning how

The place and time where everything is perfect
Skies are blue and the sun always shines
And princes and princesses live perfect lives
Once upon a time, can you imagine it?
Place and times, you make it perfect
But here it's different and I'm busy
I've just got no time for imagining

I could be that perfect princess
I would be beautiful and so would my prince
And finally I would get my first kiss
Once upon a time, though it sounds wonderful
Really isn't best for my schedule
I've got to get back to just being me
